Directorate of Social Development, Culture and Sports

Comprises three (3) Divisions and is tasked with a broad spectrum of issues related to continental socio-economic development in the following areas:

1. Facilitate Social Inclusion and Social Protection for all.
2. Facilitate and coordinate drug control and crime prevention policies in Africa
3. Migration, Mobility and Employment (Decent Work) for Inclusive Growth and Development in Africa and Remittances
4. Great Museum of Africa Permanent Memorial of Slave Trade.
5. Facilitating the Implementation of Arts, Culture and Heritage Policies in the AU member states
6. Facilitating the implementation of the Policy Framework for Sustainable Development of Sport in Africa
