WHAT: The 8th Continental Africa Public Service Day (APSD) will be celebrated under the theme “Building the Africa We Want through embracing an ethical culture that underpins purpose driven leadership in the Context of a Crisis”.

WHO: The 8th Continental Public Service Day is organized by the African Union Commission through the Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security (PAPS), in collaboration with the Government of Zimbabwe.

OBJECTIVES:

The key objective of the 8th 2021 Continental APSD celebrations is to avail a platform for African Union member states to dialogue and discourse on the successes and challenges of service delivery in the Context of a Crisis in African and exchange best practice on how to transform Africa’s public administration more so in this challenging environment of the Covid pandemic. It will also provide a peer learning platform on country’s perspective on Service Delivery, Continuity and Recovery during and post Covid Pandemic Dispensation.

Participants:
Participants will be drawn from the AU Member States, including organizations active in the sphere of public administration, universities, the private sector, Media and other non-state organizations.

Journalists are invited to cover the opening ceremony of the 8th Africa Continental Public Service Day (APSD) celebration on Monday 21st June 2021 starting from 8:30am, as well as the special ministerial session on Thursday 23rd of June at11:00am respectively at Elephant Hills Resort and Conference Centre.
