The High-Level Dialogue on Democracy, Human Rights and Governance: Trends, Challenges andProspects is a flagship programme for the African Governance Platform aimed at creating an open and inclusive space for State and non-state actors to deliberate and share comparable experiences on democratic governance issues on the continent. 

 

The 2018 HLD will serve as a forum for reflection on the 2018 AU theme of the year on “Winning the Fight Against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation”.Particularly, discussions at the Dialogue will focus on examining the theme within the framework of AU’s democratic governance agenda and guided by the AU Convention on Preventing and Combatting Corruption (AUCPCC), the African Charter.
