This study aims to understand male ex-combatants practices and attitudes as they relate to gender equality, and the impact on men of participation in collective violence and armed groups, with a specific focus on the effects of demobilization and reintegration programming on gender dynamics and male identity construction. Contains important findings on mental and psychological stress levels amongst male combatants and the need for the provision of support as they seek new identities as ex-combatants.
