WHEN: 17th – 18th November 2018 starting at 9:00 a.m. on 17 November 2018.
The Press Conference by the Chairperson of the African Union and the Chairperson of the Commission will take place immediately after the closing ceremony on Sunday, 18 November 2018.

WHERE: African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

WHO: The summit is hosted by the African Union. The Assembly is the supreme organ of the Union and consists of all the 55 Heads of State and Government of the African Union.

Objectives: The Assembly will consider and make decisions and declarations based on the outcomes of the 20th Extraordinary Session of the Executive Council meeting, held from 14 -15 November 2018. Main topics covered by this summit include AU Institutional Reform, reform of the AU Commission, mandate of the AU Development Agency (AUDA), and Financing of the African Union.

Journalists are invited to cover the opening session of the 11th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union on Saturday, 17th November 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
