The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, received H.E. Simeon Oyono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, in an audience.

The Minister conveyed to the Commission Chairperson the congratulatory message from H.E. President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, along with his commitment to support him in the exercise of his duties.

He also briefed the AU Commission Chairperson of the advanced preparations for the mid-year coordination meeting planned for Malabo in July.

The two leaders then discussed the security situation on the continent. In the same vein, they addressed the appeal to the EU for funding mediators in the DRC.
