INVITATION TO THE MEDIA
PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE DIRECTOR FOR WOMEN, GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE AU COMMISSON
Within the framework of the 21st AU summit, falling within the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the OAU-AU, Mrs Litha Musyimi-Ogana, Director for Women, Gender and Development of the African Union (AU) Commission will on Thursday, 23rd May 2013 at 15h00 hold a press briefing on the following:
- Outcomes of the Women Consultative Conference
- Follow-up on the ratification of the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa
The press conference will be co-chaired by Dr Hesphina Rukato, Deputy Chief of Staff of the AUC and Mrs Florence Butegwa, UN Women Representative to Ethiopia and Representative to the AU and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).
The press conference will be held in Briefing Room 1, at the new AU Conference Center, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Journalists are invited to take part in the press briefing.
