Background.

This event is part of the No Name Campaign that was launched on the 17th of June 2020 by the African Union and UNICEF, “For every child, a legal identity”. The campaign rallies for the speedy implementation of commitments by the African Union member states, towards universal registration of children at birth and the urgency to reposition civil registration and vital statistics in Africa, to address the indignity of invisibility.

Countries’ representatives will share their best practices and lessons learnt that led to progress during the last decade. Digitization, decentralization, integration in health services are the key elements to progress made.
