Postponement of Weekly Press Briefing on Coronavirus Disease Outbreak

The briefing on Thursday will focus on the regular update of the COVID-19 situation and other key aspects of the pandemic across the continent. The Director will also highlight key activities of Africa CDC in support of the ongoing AU summit.

Thursday’s briefing will focus on the encouraging increase in the rate of COVID-19 vaccination across Member States and highlight the importance of scaling up rapid antigen test across the continent holding to the potential increase in cases following the end-of-year holiday celebrations.
