WHAT: The Department of Agriculture and Rural Economy (DREA), through its program, the Partnership for Aflatoxin Control in Africa (PACA), is organizing a two-day training workshop on “Strengthening Food Safety Capacity for Reporting in the Biennial Review”. The workshop will bring together food safety experts from the African Union member states for a comprehensive training on data collection and computing for the Africa Food Safety Index (AFSI). The AFSI is the latest, and the 44th indicator of the Biennial Report Tracking (BRT) Mechanism used to collate data. The AFSI is submitted biennially to the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union on how member states are implementing the Compressive African Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP), adopted by the African Heads in Malabo in 2014.

Addis-Abeba, 12 février 2019: La 32ème session ordinaire de la Conférence de l'Union adopte la politique de justice transitionnelle de l'UA (AUTJP). Conformément à l'article 4 (o) de l'Acte constitutif de l'Union Africaine, cette politique est une ligne directrice continentale à l'intention des États membres de l'UA pour parvenir à une paix durable, une justice, une réconciliation, une cohésion sociale et un processus d’apaisement, qui préconisent le règlement pacifique des conflits.

Addis Ababa, April 22, 2019: The Coordinating Agencies for the Thematic Clusters of the Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 16-25) convened in an ordinary technical session from 22nd to 23rd April 2019 at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa. The purpose of the meeting was to build capacity of the agencies for effective coordination, to share experiences and strengthen the coordination of the 12 already operational CESA Thematic Clusters.
