Kigali, Rwanda 18 July 2016 - The 27th African Union (AU) Summit came to a successful conclusion on Monday, July 18, 2016, with Heads of State and Government from AU Member countries making a common call for togetherness, inclusive growth and economic develop through Agenda 2063.

The Heads of State also adopted recommendations of the Retreat on financing the Union, which seeks to empower the Union by driving it towards financial independence and external influences.

Addis Ababa – 12 January 2016: The new Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, H.E. Mrs. Hope Tumukunde Gasatura, presented on Monday 11 January 2016, her letter of credence to H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, the African Union Commission Chairperson.

The new Ambassador took the opportunity to commend the AUC Chairperson for her leadership and expressed her country’s commitment to accelerate the preparations for the forthcoming June-July Summit of the African Union scheduled to take place in Kigali.
