Agenda 2063 is the blueprint and master plan for transforming Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. It is the strategic framework for delivering on Africa’s goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-African drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance.
H.E. Mr. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, was appointed to lead the AU institutional reforms process. He appointed a pan-African committee of experts to review and submit proposals for a system of governance for the AU that would ensure the organisation was better placed to address the challenges facing the continent with the aim of implementing programmes that have the highest impact on Africa’s growth and development so as to deliver on the vision of Agenda 2063.

His Excellency Ernest Bai Koroma has arrived in Namibia to lead the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM).
Swakopmund, Namibia, December 13, 2017 – The 2017 PIDA Week ended in Swakopmund, Namibia, Wednesday with delegates calling on Member States to commit themselves to the development of Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) projects on the ground and to renew their focus to infrastructure development in rural and remote areas, among other things.

The Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission is organizing a symposium of Chambers of Mines and Mining Associations in Africa under the theme «Leveraging the role of Chambers of Mines and Mining Associations in Africa ». The Objective of the symposium is to provide a platform for Public and Private Sector dialogue guided by the principles of the Africa Mining Vision (AMV). The Symposium also serves as a platform for the creation and launch of a Pan-Africa continental body to represent the business community.
