Nairobi, Kenya, 15 November 2016: The Department of Political Affairs of the African Union Commission (DPA/AUC) concluded a Youth Consultation on the Draft African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP). The Consultation was held in Nairobi, Kenya, with the support of the Centre for the Studies of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR).

The Workshop on the African Union Commodities Strategy and meeting of the Commodities Task Force, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry of the African Union Commission (AUC) commenced today at the Hilton Nairobi, Kenya. The main Objective of the Validation Workshop is to validate the key recommendations of the Commodities strategy with Private sector stakeholders and other key actors, as well as deliberate on the effective implementation of the strategy.

Nairobi, Kenya – 10 October 2016. The African Union Commission (AUC) began today the process of validating the Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Strategy and Master Plan 2017-2021 during a two-day workshop in Nairobi, Kenya. The objective of the initiative is to develop an African Union strategic framework which will support the implementation of the Accelerated Industrial Development of Africa (AIDA) and Africa’s sustainable economic transformation under Agenda 2063.

Nairobi, 7th September 2016- “Countries that have implemented the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) have posted higher agriculture productivity and stronger GDP growth as well as sharper declines in malnutrition compared to countries that have not adopted it.” This is contained in the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)’s 2016 African Agriculture Status Report (AASR) that was released today during the 2016 AGR Forum.
